Frequently asked questions
How do I count days between two dates?
Subtract the start date from the end date. Each date is a day number on the calendar, so the difference is exact — 2026-01-01 to 2026-03-01 is 59 days. The calculator handles leap years for you.
Does the count include both the start and end day?
The standard convention counts the difference (end minus start), so the start day itself is not counted. If you need both endpoints included, add one day to the result.
How are business days calculated?
We count Mondays through Fridays between the two dates and skip weekends. Public holidays are not excluded because they differ by country and year.
Can I calculate days since a past date?
Yes — enter the past date as the start and today as the end. It works for birthdays, anniversaries, or 'days since' counters of any kind.
