Distance and speed default to kilometers and km/h but accept any consistent units - miles with mph, meters with seconds - because the formula does not care as long as the units agree. The time field accepts h:mm:ss, which is how GPS watches and delivery apps actually report durations.

Enter the total distance and the total duration (in h:mm:ss) - the speed field solves as the true average, including stops. Note it is average speed, not the maximum shown on the dashboard.
Does it work for running pace?
Yes - enter the race distance and your finishing time, and the speed field gives your average speed; divide further for pace per kilometer if you think in minutes-per-km.
