How do I calculate the fuel cost of a trip?
Distance ÷ consumption = fuel needed, × price per unit = cost. A 480-mile trip at 30 MPG with $3.45 gas: 480 ÷ 30 = 16 gallons × $3.45 = $55.20 one-way. The calculator runs it in miles/MPG or km/L-per-100km and doubles it for round trips.
How do I convert MPG to L/100km?
