A full cloth stash costs roughly one to three months of disposables, so the crossover lands around month two or three — but only if you actually wash at temperature every two to three days. Price your water and electricity before assuming savings.
Should I stockpile diapers before the baby arrives?
Buy one box each of size newborn and size 1, no more: growth is unpredictable and half of stockpiled newborn boxes go unused. Lock in the price you like on size 2 and 3, which babies wear longest.
